Ribbons on my ballet shoes, frayed
Let them fall where they please.
Gracefully floating down,
Folding over praising the ground.
Let them fall where they wish.
Pray for life to spring.
Folding over praising the ground.
Fall leaves now mulch and grey.
Pray for life to spring.
Beckon forth rays of sun.
Fall leaves now mulch and grey.
Stench of death fills the air.
Beckon forth rays of sun,
Break through clouds of rain.
Stench of death fills the air.
Life sprouting through decay.
Breaking through clouds of rain,
Gracefully floating down.
Life sprouts through decay.
Ribbons on my ballet shoes, frayed.
